Jasmine Trias Releases CD Single

Singer Working On 2 Albums For Summer Release

Since singing her way to the finals in American Idol, Jasmine Trias' career has taken off and now she's releasing her first Hawaii-made CD. She made the announcement Monday.

CD singleTrias also shot a video to promote her new CD single called "Flying Home."

In two weeks, the CD will be sold at all 45 Pizza Hut and 35 Taco Bell locations for $1.99 with any purchase. Trias said her CD is just for Hawaii. The CD goes on sale on Feb. 27.

"I'm so used to being away from home recording and performing. So, being at home in my home state, it was a great pleasure to be recording this for Hawaii," Trias said.

Trias plans to release a full-length CD sometime this summer. Currently, she's recording separate albums in Los Angeles and the Philippines. She also hopes to release a Hawaii album and begin a career in acting.

Reporters asked what she wants to do since she's been so busy working.

"Um sleep. Try to get some down time. Shop whenever I can," Trias said, laughing.

She said she wants her future endeavors to include business ventures "like J-Lo (Jennifer Lopez)."
